One issue that seems to be on the increase lately is the use of residential door cameras. This is creating a lot of concern in several of my buildings. Can you advise if these cameras are legal? Thank you for your email. We have been getting a lot of calls and emails regarding this topic. It is not as complicated as some people think. Given the increase in the use of such devices, Riskboss has decided to update an older article on this topic in this edition.

I heard that your company does bicycle tuneups in the spring each year in condominiums. Can you advise what this is and the cost to get this service? Much appreciated.

Thank you for your email. Yes, our sister company Samsonshield pays for licensed bicycle mechanics to attend each spring for a bicycle tuneup day at our client sites. This is a free service to the communities we serve.
Each spring on weekends we spend time with residents servicing their bicycles to ensure that they are roadworthy and safe. We also register all bicycles with property management and the Toronto Police Service. Excess bicycles are donated to local charities.
